Last week Dan Barber and the team at Blue Hill invited a bevy of the world's top chefs along with a host of influential chefs from across America. The NYTimes' Jeff Gordinier wrapped it up better than I will in his article, Sowing a Change in Kitchens. The purpose of the gathering was to discuss the relationship chefs can and should have with the farmers that cultivate seeds that lead into the produce of their menus. In attendance were international chefs: Ferran Adria, Joan Roca, Michel Bras, Gaston Acurio, and Alex Atala. They were joined by US chefs: April Bloomfield, Sean Brock, Daniel Humm, Floyd Cardoz, Michael White, Jim Lahey, Bill Telepan, Danny Bowien, Dan Kluger, Matthew Lightner, Mads Refslund and David Bouley among others.

Needless to say, when Dan Barber asked me to make a special apron for their staff to wear during the event, it was truly flattering. My USA made clothing company being able to play a small role meant a whole lot. We went with the Hunter Green waxed cotton Stalwart apron, dressed up with a golden yellow strap. Thanks for the opportunity Blue Hill team! A couple shots below courtesy of photographer Kirra Cheers.
